A friend was looking for a card for her goddaughter and couldn’t find anything that sparked the love she was trying to give.
Unicorns with straight blonde hair, fairies the same, animal cards not fitting the bill….again.
So Afro unicorns and friends were born #afrounicorns!
Children want and deserve to see themselves in the cards they receive. Representation really does matter.
The beauty, love and fun of unicorns isn’t about ethnicity it’s about being part of the magic. No one should feel excluded from that, we all have a part to receive and offer. Children deserve our best.
Thank you Ophelia for being the inspiration behind our Afro Unicorns & Friends and for being the most incredible friend, whatever the weather. These two cards are for you. x
